About the Crossroads Project
Mission Statement
Since 1995, the American Studies Crossroads Project has provided a comprehensive and integrated platform for pedagogical, scholarly, and institutional information for the international American Studies Community.
The project is dedicated to international networking and curriculum innovation, especially related to the integration of new technologies as well as electronic literacy and other aspects of faculty development. The Crossroads website is a space for collaboration and innovation in American Studies.
Sponsors and Funding
Crossroads is a project of the American Studies Association with sponsorship from Georgetown University and in collaboration with Washington State University. The project is maintained at the Center for New Designs in Learning and Scholarship (CNDLS) at Georgetown University. It is funded in part by the US Dept of Education FIPSE Program. The Crossroads Project gratefully acknowledges past funding from the The Annenberg/CPB Project.
Crossroads Publications
Engines of Inquiry: A Practical Guide for Using Technology to Teach American Studies is a Crossroads publication intended to assist teachers and students in making use of technology and in promoting international collaboration in the study of American history and culture.
